We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team at an electrical contracting company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial information to support the company's decision-making process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.

2. General Ledger Management:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.

• Oversee journal entries and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.

3. Accounts Payable and Receivable:

• Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes.

• Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices and collection of receivables.

4. Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

• Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.

5. Tax Compliance:

• Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local, state, and Country regulations.

• Ensure timely payment of taxes and handle tax-related inquiries.

6. Audit Preparation:

• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.

• Prepare necessary documentation and respond to audit queries.

7. Payroll Processing:

• Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.Handle employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

8. Cost Accounting:

• Monitor project costs and perform cost analysis for various projects.

• Provide financial insights to support project management and cost control.

9. Financial Systems Management:

• Maintain and improve financial systems and software.

• Ensure data integrity and security of financial information.

10. Compliance and Internal Controls:

• Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures.

• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounts / Finance / Business Management

• MBA / CPA / ACCA preferred

• Experience required: Overall 5-8 Years of Accounting experience, preferably in the Contracting or Construction industry.
